How
to Speak with the Dead:
A Practical Guide to Communicating with the Other Side
Author: Sciens
Trade Paperback, 6x9,124 pages
Publisher: Spilled Candy Publications
Publish Price: $11.95 ISBN 978-1-892718-61-7

Dear Readers,
In documents I’ve read from the late 1800’s and early
1900’s, “modern” science felt it had reached its pinnacle.
There was nothing left to learn.
Surely now, over a century later and with all the
exponential technological advances, we are smarter, aren’t
we? Surely we understand that we don’t know everything and
that some things are yet to be explained? Are we really any
closer to understanding mystical and spiritual occurrences
in the early 21st century than in the latter 19th and early
20th centuries? Or are we just as arrogant?
This book was originally published in 1918, and our plans
for this book’s republication was to offer the original text
plus some current explanation so that it could be applied to
our present instead of the past. However, much of this
book—one of the few that has ever addressed the paranormal
from a scientific point of view—stands on its own. In fact,
I’ve used this book as teaching material for my metaphysical
students to help them better understand their gifts. In
reading this book from the point of view of a spiritual
teacher and noting the things most interesting to me here
and now in the 21st century, it became obvious to me that,
while times have changed in the past hundred years, not so
much has changed in the spiritual realm as I might have
thought.
